Essias Disqualified. Why Brother Sammy and Others were not Disqualified

Information reaching the review and selection committee  of the Ghana National Gospel Awards indicates that the submission of work from Essias in the urban gospel category does not qualify. The artiste has been duly informed on the action from the committee.
 The scheme wants to use this opportunity to assure every artiste that it will not compromise with any false presentation of work.
 We are still investigating and researching and want to assure the general public that the right thing will be done to protect the scheme and the interest of the nation.
With regards to the selection of artistes in the worship category, the selection team said they worked using the formula and guide given. The committee placed songs on thanksgiving, worship songs petition etc all under worship. We wish to state categorically that next  will be better an no one will be considered.
According to team, recommendation has been forwarded to the CEO and planners of the event.

Reason for the selection
The team placed all songs like worship, thanks given, petition song etc as recommended under worship.

Recommendations
- Description for each category should be given
-Capture all songs under worship and thanksgiving etc under a defined category, or a better name should be coined to fit the category or better still it should be in this form eg. Worship/petition/thanks given
- single forms should be made for each category.

The organizers of this years Ghana National Gospel Music Awards has stated categorically that this years awards was free and fair by all standards. The organizers stated their displeasure about comments from people who did not vote or follow proceedings with regards to the awards. They said the scheme is for gospel musicians and so there was no need to cheat.
