The artiste has been duly informed on the action from the committee.  The scheme wants to use this opportunity to assure every artiste that it will not compromise with any false presentation of work.  We are still investigating and researching and want to assure the general public that the right thing will be done to protect the scheme and the interest of the nation. VGMA: STONEBWOY AND SHATTA WALE BANNED INDEFINITELY, STRIPPED OFF ALL AWARDS Dancehall artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have been stripped of all the awards they won at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). They have also been banned indefinitely by the organisers. The decision to ban and strip the two artistes of their awards they won this year was announced at a press conference organised Charterhouse, organisers of the Awards, and the Board of the awards. According to the organisers, at a press conference at the Alisa Hotel in Accra Thursday, the two artistes breached the code of conduct of the scheme. Mark Okraku Mantey, a member of the Board, explained that the board has the right to dismiss or disqualify any nominee who misbehaves or brings the Awards into disrepute. Musicians Pledge Support For Deborah Freeman  A section of Ghanaian musicians from the musicians union of Ghana who have declared their support for the gospel artiste Deborah Freeman this week has called on other musicians to vote massively for her as the 2nd vice president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). The MUSIGA election comes off on June 26 this year and Deborah Freeman is contesting for the 2nd vice president position with Abena Ruthy, also a gospel musician. The musicians disclosed in separate interviews that Deborah is one of the few gospel icons who have worked tirelessly to promote the image of the union when she was the general secretary of the union and for that reason was promoted to lead the UNIWA (Union of Informal Workers' Associations of Ghana). President Obour Visits The Dead The President of Musiga Evangelist Bice Osei Kuffuor together with few members has visited the Tomb of Reverend Fiifi Khan Agyakwa, MUSIGA former Administrator. Those at the cemetery with president obour was Ras Appiah Caleb, Nana Kojo Biney alias electric, the daughter of Rev Fiifi and the family members Last year around  this same time, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, the Head of Communications and Special Projects at the Union, disclosed that, the colleague passed after a short illness.
